From the Director of Superbad… comes an a film with a really big soundtrack budget. Why is Martin Starr not a leading man? What is wrong with you people? What came first the Mike Cera or the Jess Eisenberg? The music in this movie rules. Especially The Replacements! I love this movie. Its basically Smashing Pumpkins ‘1979′ the movie, except the piece takes place in 1987. Fine year. The pool scene is KAH-LASSIC! I had the great fortune of seeing the premiere of this movie and sitting in on the Cast Q&A last year at Sundance; had to run it back. I was stoked during the opening scene when they played The Replacements. What is Martin Starr not a leading man? Ridiculous.
