Lovewright Co. Fall 2009 Preview

Friday, July 31st, 2009

There are a lot of talented illustrators in the game, but few actually know about design. Which is ok. To each their own. But in our humble opinion It’s not about simple or busy - it’s about execution. I think a two chord punk song can be just as beautiful as a full scale opera if done right. The Lovewright Dudes always seems to come pretty close. Not only have they always stuck to their guns and never jumped on any current trend, but they always have flattering colorways and pleasant space on their shirts. Always classic. Feelin’ it.

Lily x Chanel

I know she has been over it for a minute, but no more Airforce Ones and Mumus. Gangsta. She looks like an entirely different person. Either she is hitting the gym or hitting the yay. I remember seeing a commercial of her talking about how she loved chili dogs, and self image is dumb. That commerical made me wanna eat chili dogs.

NOSAJ THING @ SOHO 8.15.09

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

L.A.-based producer Nosaj Thing (Jason Chung) is a sound innovator. He’s a sweet kid with a sinister musical agenda. His electronic soundscapes and wild beat tectonics play like vignettes that affect the listener’s mind as deeply as he hits their soul. Without a doubt, Nosaj Thing is among L.A.’s finest musical modulators.
Currently signed to Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup records, Nosaj Thing has recently released his debut full-length album, DRIFT. He has been touring across the US and Asia, continuing on to Europe at the end of this year. Having worked with Kid Cudi and remixed the likes of Flying Lotus, Sound Tribe Sector 9, HEALTH, Radiohead, Nosaj Thing is taking both producing and performing instrumental hip-hop and electronic music into the future.

Fitted El Sid Pack

Monday, July 27th, 2009

As an adult I’m trying really hard not to stress about things that don’t matter, but when the Mets lose it drives me nuts. I feel like one of those redneck dudes outside the steal cage during the last scene in Bruno. Sid could pitch. Here is an ode to one of the most talented and most widely known baseball players to ever come out of Hawaii. We had two on the 86′ squad. El Sid and Ron Darling!
